How spot rates are calculated
This calculator uses driving distance (via OpenRouteService routing), equipment-type multipliers,
a weight taper (heavier loads = lower per-cwt cost), and a 15% fuel surcharge — the same model
powering LoadQuote's instant broker quotes. The ±10% range reflects real market spread.
